Tamworth Regional Landcare Association has two local heroes up in Bendemeer who are committed to preserving the mighty Macdonald River.

Our freshwater rivers and streams need the community's support to keep them strong and the Macdonald River has that in Anne and Winson Doak.

The NSW Government has been able to provide support with a grant of $38,356 provided from the Habitat Action Grant Program.

The Federal Government has twice provided support with $13,707 from the Communities Environment Program and $50,000 from the Murray Darling Basin Healthy Rivers Program - Small Grants.
