REMINDER TO PARENTS TO TAP INTO NSW GOVERNMENT VOUCHERS
With the first term of the 2023 school year fast approaching, Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson is reminding parents to tap into several vouchers aimed at easing the cost of living for local families.
Mr Anderson said the $150 Back to School vouchers, the $500 Before and After School Care vouchers, and the $100 Active and Creative Kids Vouchers were now open for applications, meaning local families can cut the cost of getting back to school.
“We know that Back-to-school can cost families in excess of $600 per child which can really hit the back pocket after the expensive Christmas and school holiday period,” Mr Anderson said.
“That’s why the NSW Government has renewed the Active Kids, Creative Kids and Back to School vouchers for 2023, putting cash back into the pocket of young families and allowing them to spend their hard earned on what matters.
“There are plenty of providers ready to accept your Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers locally and it’s a great opportunity to expose our kids to something new this year.
“Our Before and After School Vouchers have also proven to be a big hit with more than 263,000 vouchers claimed across the state.
“Parents and guardians have until the end of the month the claim their vouchers so I would encourage any local families to take advantage of the program as soon as possible by getting on the Service NSW app or website and filling out the form to claim their vouchers.
“For parents with younger ones, the First Lap Learn to Swim vouchers are still available so I would encourage local parents to get their kids in the pool and learning to swim this summer.
“Finally, there are plenty of other rebates available to local families who may be finding the cost of living hitting hard at the moment so now is the time to take advantage of the Service NSW Savings Finder service to see what else you may be eligible for.”
