LOCAL BUSINESSES HEADED TO SYDNEY, ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO BUY FROM THE BUSH

A taste of Tamworth and Manilla will be headed to the ‘big smoke’ this weekend as part of the two-day Buy from the Bush Christmas market pops up at The Rocks on Friday and Saturday.

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said two locally based businesses were making their way to Sydney, highlighting the innovation and bright ideas of local businesspeople.

“The #buyfromthebush Christmas market is back bigger and better than ever after a COVID-induced hiatus over the past two years,” Mr Anderson said.

“Christmas is big business for regionally based start-ups who open themselves up to the Sydney market with great initiatives like the buy from the bush campaign.

“It’s great to see that Impact Meat from Tamworth and Seeking Summer from Manilla will be making a trip down the New England Highway this weekend to be a part of the #buyfromthebush Christmas market.”

The Buy from the Bush Christmas Market will kick off from 11am to 8pm Friday and Saturday. Buy from the Bush is also hosting an ‘Hour for Eugowra’ flood-raising auction at 2pm of Saturday.

“Ongoing flooding throughout regional NSW has caused significant disruption to many of the businesses featured at these markets,” Mr Anderson added.

“Now more than ever, we need to support our regionally based businesses so I would encourage you to look to buy from the bush when Christmas shopping this year.

“We may not be in Sydney for the event, but you can always buy online and show your support for these regional go-getters.

“Your support could be the difference that keeps a regional businesses doors open through the silly season and on to 2023.”
