Tamworth is now home to the best, international standard hockey facilities in regional Australia with the compeltion of the $9.636 million Tamworth Hockey Centre Upgrades.

All three of Tamwoth's pitches can now host regional, state and international competition which is a huge boost to the local visitor economy.

The NSW Government supported the project with a grant of $7.2 million from the Regional Sports Infrastructure Fund with co-contributions from Tamworth Regional Council and Tamworth Hockey Association at $1.636 million and $800,000 respectively.
