TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR WARATAHS V BULLS SUPER RUGBY GAME
Tickets to the Super Rugby game between the Waratahs and the Bulls went on sale today.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the game between the ‘Tahs’ and the Bulls is planned to be a show of support for drought stricken regional communities
“This game on 21 March will put Tamworth’s Scully Park in the spotlight for rugby fans worldwide.
“It will be a match that will uplift Tamworth and the wider region that is, like all of regional NSW, struggling through one of the worst droughts on record.
“I want to thank Wests Entertainment Group and its CEO Rod Laing for all the work he and his team have done to make this game of world class rugby possible for Tamworth.
“I also want to thank the Tahs for showing their support to the people of regional and rural NSW.
“Bringing this event to Tamworth will provide the town and surrounding areas with some respite from the unrelenting drought and boost the number of customers in our cafes, diners in restaurants and heads on beds in our motels.
“Sport is often the heartbeat of regional NSW towns and the Waratahs visit to Tamworth will provide locals with the opportunity to meet the players and for kids to be a part of skills sessions that will improve their abilities and hopefully give them a much needed boost,” Mr Anderson concluded.
Wests Entertainment Group CEO Rod Laing said the organisation is excited to have the NSW Waratahs Super Rugby matched scheduled.
“We’ve hosted some fantastic events at Scully Park and this game of Super Rugby will lift our profile as a quality sporting arena even higher,” Mr Laing said
