Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson today congratulated Stella Vincent from Tamworth Public School on her Regional Runner-up prize in this year’s Harmony Day Poster Competition.

“Stella’s poster was selected from more than four thousand entries in this year’s competition, from schools right across NSW”, Mr Anderson said.

“It is a wonderful achievement for Stella, and she had the opportunity to travel to NSW Parliament house with her family to receive the prize.

“Stella’s poster was titled “Every Day is Harmony Day” and was a beautiful drawing of a young girl with the flags of the world on her dress and a calendar with every day as harmony day.

Mr Anderson said the Harmony Day School Competition is coordinated by The Moving Forward Together Association, a social initiative by various community groups committed to creating a better understanding amongst all sectors of the community for a vision of living in harmony.

“This competition is a great initiative by Moving Forward Together, and I encourage all schools in the region to get involved next year” Mr Anderson concluded.

Harmony Day is celebrated on the 21st March, and the theme for the 2015 poster competition was Harmony Day-Every Day.
