Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson is urging the Tamworth electorate to nominate women volunteers in our community to be honoured on the NSW Hidden Treasures Honour Roll.

Mr Anderson said women in our electorate play a huge role in giving our community its pulse, and our community wouldn’t be what it is today without the hard work of many of these women.

“The Hidden Treasures Honour Roll is a lasting archive to recognise women volunteers, the unsung heroes of our regional communities, including in the Tamworth electorate,” Mr Anderson said.

“Hidden Treasures is our opportunity to say thank you to some outstanding women.”

The NSW Government is honoured to recognise these special women through this important initiative, during National Volunteer Week this week.

Mr Anderson said “Nominating a woman in the Tamworth electorate for the Honour Roll is easy to do, simply complete your nomination online or download a nomination form and share a few paragraphs about why your nominee is worthy.

“All women nominated will be included in the 2015 Roll which will be launched at the annual NSW Rural Women’s Gathering in Glen Innes on 9-11 October 2015.”
