MORE FUNDING FOR LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURAL FACILITIES
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson is encouraging local organisations to apply for grants of between $100,000 and $300,000 to help build or upgrade art and cultural facilities through the ClubGRANTS Category 3 program.
Mr Anderson said art and culture is important to our community and this investment in facilities will help boost this vibrant and important sector.
“With $2.5 million on offer I urge our passionate, creative organisations to apply for this funding opportunity to further enhance our community’s art and cultural offerings.
“On top of funding for art and culture, the ClubGRANTS Category 3 scheme is investing millions in sport and recreation infrastructure and emergency relief facilities annually over the next four years.
“Particular emphasis will be placed on projects that benefit regional and remote communities in this program round so organisations in the Tamworth electorate have a great chance at securing a grant.”
Deputy Premier Troy Grant said NSW is renowned for art and culture and communities across the state will benefit from bigger and better facilities.
“The NSW Government is committed to ensuring people have access to art and culture no matter where they live - this investment will build participation and ensure our facilities are equipped for the long term.”
Expressions of interest for art and culture grants are now open until 18 March 2016. Approved applicants will be invited to lodge formal applications in May 2016 with successful projects announced later this year.
