BE AMBITIOUS – THERE’S 11 NEW COURSES AT GUNNEDAH TAFE IN 2019
Engineering, Horticulture, Early Childhood Education and Care and Civil Construction are just some of the exciting new courses available at TAFE NSW Gunnedah in 2019, the Member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson announced, today.
Mr Anderson said a total of 32 courses would be available at TAFE NSW Gunnedah in semester one 2019, a significant commitment to ensuring the evolving needs of the local community are being met.
“Local Gunnedah businesses and key stakeholders have identified a number of areas where the training offered at TAFE NSW didn’t quite fulfil the needs of the community.
“I have worked closely with TAFE NSW to identify these gaps and come up with an extensive course offering plan that everyone will be happy with.
“It is incredibly exciting that 11 of the 32 courses available at TAFE NSW Gunnedah in semester one 2019, were not offered last year.
“This proves that the NSW Government is delivering on our promises and ensuring TAFE NSW responds to Gunnedah’s changing economy and needs.”
“One of the highlights of the new courses is the re-introduction of a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade).
“Because of an increase in apprentices requiring engineering training in the region, this course is will be delivered in Gunnedah by TAFE NSW, for the first time since 2011.
“Add to this a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations), Certificate II in Horticulture, a number of short courses and a range of online courses available through TAFE Digital, you can see that TAFE NSW is reaffirming itself as the number one training provider for the region,” Mr Anderson concluded.
Mr Anderson said 2019 enrolments were now open for TAFE NSW courses. For more information visit www.tafensw.edu.au or phone 131 601
