Media Releases - Kevin Anderson Media Release
NSW Nationals Leader Andrew Stoner and Nationals candidate for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said news today that the Keneally Labor Government had only allocated $29 million from a $4 billion health plan to Tamworth Hospital reveals they have no intention to fund a new $130 million facility as promised by Peter Draper and Morris Iemma before the last State Election."Labor's promises aren't worth the paper they're printed on – today we've discovered they have no plans for a large scale redevelopment of Tamworth Hospital," Andrew Stoner said.
"Labor is attempting to buy the Tamworth electorate off with a paltry band aid solution.
"This once again shows Peter Draper's failure to get Labor to deliver on their promises.
"The NSW Liberals & Nationals are the only political parties putting real money on the table for the Tamworth Hospital redevelopment.
"Labor and Peter Draper have failed to deliver what they promised the people of Tamworth and, after 16 years of Labor, they should not be given another chance to disappoint.
"Only the NSW Liberals & Nationals have the positive, practical plans to deliver better health services and infrastructure in regional NSW including an additional $100 million commitment towards the Tamworth Hospital redevelopment.
"If Peter Draper was not in bed with the Labor Party, he'd be out there today condemning them for their failure to deliver and apologising to the people of Tamworth for letting them down," Mr Stoner said.
Nationals candidate for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said the difference between a vote for The Nationals and a vote for Peter Draper was now stark.
"Only the NSW Liberals & Nationals will deliver the Tamworth Hospital redevelopment.
"We will succeed where Peter Draper and Labor have failed to deliver.
"I'll shoulder the responsibility of getting the job done," Kevin Anderson said.
