Nationals Candidate for the seat of Tamworth, Kevin Anderson, invites local residents to have a yarn with The Nationals Federal Senator Barnaby Joyce at a barbecue in Tamworth on Thursday night.

Senator Joyce - the Shadow Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Water - will be the special guest at a barbecue at the Tamworth Hotel on Thursday, February 24.

Mr Anderson said the event is open to all interested residents.

''A yarn with Barnaby is never dull – he's always got something interesting to say,'' Mr Anderson said.

''He will be in Tamworth speaking at the 51st Annual Floodplain Management Authorities Conference on Thursday morning and it's great he is able to come along to the barbecue that night.''

To attend the barbecue and meet Senator Joyce, please simply be at the Tamworth Hotel in Marius Street, Tamworth at 6pm on Thursday, February 24. The cost is $25 per person and can be paid at the door. Children aged under 12 are free.
