Summer is over. Winter is coming. But this weekend there’s an upside - we’ll get an extra hour of blissful sleep.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson is reminding us all that daylight saving ends at 3am on 1 April.
“Most of our computers, mobile phones and tablets will update automatically, but those with older clocks and watches will need to put them back by one hour before going to bed on Saturday night”, Mr Anderson said.
“I know out here in the country, the expected the change will be welcomed by early risers.
“The sun is now coming up at 7am when many people are already awake and getting ready for their day. As it gets colder, the return to standard time will help ensure we’re not starting our day in the dark.
Mr Anderson encouraged the community to spread the word so no one is ‘in the dark’ about the end of daylight saving.
