STATEMENT ON THE INCOMING NSW CABINET
I welcome the new look cabinet announced by NSW Premier Gladys Berejilian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro today, highlighting THIS as an opportunity to deliver even more for the Tamworth electorate.
My role within Parliament has also undergone a makeover with a change from Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Roads and Rail to Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Roads and Transport.
I, along with the incoming Minister for Roads, Freight and Maritime Melinda Pavey MP remain committed to delivering the Gunnedah Overpass, Manilla Road upgrade and the Oxley Highway upgrades. I also look forward to discussing other projects I would like to see funded in our region including the intermodal freight centre in Tamworth.
I am excited to broaden my Parliamentary Secretary role to transport. This will allow me to take on a greater role in our state passenger services especially those within rural NSW that link to city services across rail, coach and more.
First and foremost my role remains as the Member for Tamworth. This is the most important role I could ever take on in Parliament as it is the one that has been awarded to me by the people that I represent in the region I live and at no time do I take that for granted.
I look forward to inviting all the Ministers in the new cabinet to our region in order to ensure that we deliver on the promise of continuing to drive more funding into regional NSW and our local region.
