NEW CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO PROMOTE
THE ‘CAPITAL OF COUNTRY’
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson today announced that the region’s fantastic music culture, scenic adventures, rodeo experiences and emerging food and wine, will be showcased in a new marketing campaign aimed at promoting the region as the ‘Tamworth Capital of Country’.
Mr Anderson said the campaign will urge people to put Tamworth at the top of their holiday list and encourage visitors to discover the region’s authentic country experiences.
“From our beautiful scenic drives to local festivals and events there is just so much on offer for visitors to our region.
“This new marketing campaign will help position our region as the hub to venture out and discover what’s on offer throughout north-west NSW.
“Increasing overnight visitation all year round is one of our key priorities and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors to Tamworth as a result of this wonderful joint initiative.”
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the NSW Government continues to work tirelessly to promote the fantastic tourism products and experiences across the State to attract intrastate and interstate visitors.
“Supporting regional tourism is vital to the NSW visitor economy and we are committed to delivering campaigns that allow us to promote the variety of NSW experiences and help create a positive economic impact for the State.”
The new NSW Government marketing campaign has been implemented by Destination NSW in partnership with Destination Tamworth and Inland NSW Tourism.
The campaign commences today and will run until 31 May 2016.
