LOCAL RESIDENTS HAVE TWO MILLION REASONS TO CELEBRATE GUNNEDAH HOSPITAL UPGRADE
Work has now finished on the $2million upgrade to Gunnedah Hospital in a huge win for the local community, Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson announced today.
“Our local communities deserve the same world class health facilities as those in the city and these upgrades to Gunnedah Hospital are just that,” Mr Anderson said.
“It’s great to see the completion of the $2million upgrade. We have delivered on this election commitment which shows the NSW Liberals & Nationals are committed to our region.
“Gunnedah is a growing community and upgrading our hospital will mean we can better cater for our local health needs,” Mr Anderson said.
The upgrade which commenced in 2016 includes:
The replacement of the roof of the administration and community health block at Gunnedah Hospital
Upgrade to the hospital’s Clinical Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) and operating theatre and
Replacement and extension of the hospital’s kitchen.
“The local community has worked hard to fundraise for improvements to the hospital over the years and I know how much residents appreciate this Government working hard to deliver the best health services in the bush,” Mr Anderson said.
“Gunnedah plays a very important role in our region and I will continue to work hard on behalf of Gunnedah to make sure we get our fair share of investment,” Mr Anderson concluded.
