DISABILITY SUPPORT WEBSITE LAUNCHED IN TAMWORTH
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson today officially launched ‘All In!’, an online resource intended to provide guide community organisations on how to include children with disability in mainstream activities.
Mr Anderson said every child wants nothing more than to be included – children with disability are no different.
“The website provides free practical advice to help parents, carers and organisations include children with disability aged between 0-8 years in their activities, venues and events.
“This is another example of the NSW Government delivering on its commitment to provide greater assistance for children with disability and their families, and to promote the inclusion of people with disability in the community.”
Mr Anderson said he was thrilled that such a valuable tool was being launched in Tamworth.
“Northcott is a well-known and respected organisation in Tamworth and I congratulate them on working closely with the NSW Government to develop a tool that ensures all children can be part of the community,” Mr Anderson said.
Northcott CEO Kerry Stubbs said Northcott is a long standing and respected provider of supports and services to people with disability and has now grown to support more than 13,000 individuals and families across NSW and the ACT.
“Northcott shares the NSW Government’s commitment to build more inclusive communities for children of all abilities,” Ms Stubbs said.
“As a result of this investment we have developed an innovative new online resource that will help children with disability become more involved in mainstream activities and settings.”
Community organisations and businesses are encouraged to visit the website at www.all-in.com.au.
