DON’T MISS OUT ON FUNDING FOR LOCAL YOUTH
Time is running out to apply for funding for projects that will help local youth realise their full potential and benefit the whole community.
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson said more than $1.1 million was available through the Youth Opportunities Program to fund organisations to deliver youth-led and youth-driven community projects.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for organisations to get the support they need to engage our young people and help them achieve their full potential.
“The Youth Opportunities Program supports grassroots projects that will make a real and positive difference to the lives of many young people in our community and I urge organisations to apply for funding.”
Since 2012, Youth Opportunities has provided more than $6.8 million in funding to over 120 projects across NSW involving more than 31,500 young people.
“Young people can contribute to their communities and make a real difference so helping them realise their full potential will benefit everyone,” Minister responsible for youth John Ajaka said.
Community organisations and local councils can apply for grants of up to $50,000 for new projects that support young people’s participation, engagement and inclusion in the community.
The online application process closes at 5:00pm on Monday 27 June 2016. Successful applications will be announced later in 2016.
