BARRABA RUGBY LEAGUE BIG WINNER IN COMMUNITY BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS

Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson today congratulated the Barraba Rugby League Football Club who has received $63,500 through the Community Building Partnerships Program.

Mr Anderson said it was a pleasure to visit the Barraba Rugby League Football Club today and make the announcement with club Secretary Mr Jacob Hawley and President Mr Neville Phillips.

“This grant will allow the club to upgrade the existing building with two toilets to a new building with seven toilets including one accessible toilet with baby change facilities.

“This is not only great news for the Barraba Rugby League Football Club but also for the Barraba community.

“By improving this facility it will encourage and promote sport in Barraba and will provide a comfortable place for spectators to enjoy the football.

Mr Anderson said the popular Community Building Partnerships funding program had received a lot of interest with the latest round granting $400,000 to community organisations across the Tamworth electorate.

“The program is very competitive and there were a lot of very worthy applications.

“I would again like to congratulate all of the organisations who have received funding and for those who missed out this year, I encourage you to apply again next year.

“Again I congratulate the Barraba Rugby league Football Club for receiving this significant grant and I look forward to seeing this project get underway and be put to use by the community,” Mr Anderson Concluded.
