ANDERSON WELCOMES $88,000 TO IMPROVE PUBLIC RESERVES ACROSS TAMWORTH ELECTORATE
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has welcomed more than $88,000 to support the development, maintenance and improvement of public reserves across the Tamworth electorate.
Mr Anderson said public reserves are wonderful assets that are highly valued by our community and are vital to the success of our local sports, social clubs, business and tourism.
“Showgrounds, caravan parks and local parks and reserves are a social and economic focal point of our community.
“This funding will allow community trust managers to carry out improvements that will bring greater social and economic benefits to the area.
“I am very pleased to announce that as part of this funding boost, the Tamworth electorate will receive:
- Sheeba Dam: $45,290 for the installation of new shelters, barbecues, entrance sign and a fence of bollards with a gate to prevent access to the dam wall
- Gunnedah PCYC: $25,256 for the construction and replacement of fencing
- Tamworth PCYC: $13,252 for the construction of a car port/ garage at the side of the PCYC to store club vehicles and equipment.
- Crown Reserve Moonbi: $4,940 fencing of part of reserve for compliance issues, illegal access and fire wood collection.
“By supporting these vital projects the NSW Government is supporting and promoting the economy in the Tamworth electorate, as well as the role our wonderful local volunteers play in the ongoing management of the Crown reserve system.
“I am pleased to announce this round of funding and I look forward to seeing the improvements made to these Crown reserve facilities,” Mr Anderson concluded.
