Anderson Officially Launches 2015 NCHA Futurity
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson today officially launched the 2015 annual National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Futurity.
Mr Anderson said the NCHA Futurity is Australia’s premier cutting horse event.
“The Futurity brings thousands of visitors from outside the region to Tamworth to compete within the world class facilities at the AELEC,” Mr Anderson said.
“I am delighted that the NSW Government has secured the Futurity for the next two years through our and tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
“The NCHA Futurity delivers significant benefits to our visitor economy and I welcome all of the competitors to Tamworth.”
The 42nd annual 2015 NCHA Futurity runs from the 26th May to the 7th June. It draws thousands of competitors from all over Australia and the world, including visitors from America, Canada, New Zealand and New Caledonia who will compete for the chance to take home a share of the $700,000 in money and prizes.
Mr Anderson said “The NCHA Futurity is a highlight of the equine calendar.”
“The AELEC is a world class facility and it is only fitting that we are able to host the most spectacular and challenging horse sport in the world here in Tamworth.
“I look forward to getting out to the Futurity to see what this year’s cutting event has on offer.”
