Anderson Congratulates New Chair Bede Burke
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has today congratulated Tamworth local, Bede Burke on becoming the new Chair of the NSW Nationals.
Mr Anderson said that Mr Burke was nominated and unchallenged at the vote held today during the NSW Nationals Annual General Conference held in Queanbeyan.
“I sincerely congratulate Mr Burke and thank him for taking on this position and guiding the party in what will be a challenging time leading up to the 2015 NSW state election.
“Mr Burke took over from retiring chair the Hon Niall Blair MLC who held the reigns for two years and did a wonderful job.
“I look forward to continuing my close association with Bede and value his guidance and counsel in my role as the local member for the Tamworth Electorate.
“He provides sound and measured advice and is very inclusive in his decision making. I also know from my experience working with Mr Burke that he is outcome driven.
“Together with his wife Narelle and family, they run a very successful award winning farming enterprise on the outskirts of Tamworth and I know he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.
“The NSW Nationals are progressive, vibrant, focused and provide a strong voice for country people and that will continue.
“The NSW Nationals are in very good hands with Bede Burke at the helm, and to have the new chairman from the Tamworth Electorate is an added bonus.
“I again warmly congratulate Chairman Bede Burke and his new executive,” Mr Anderson concluded.
