ANDERSON - BEDE BURKE RETURNED AS NSW NATIONALS CHAIR
Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson has congratulated Bede Burke on his return to the top job as the Chairman of the NSW Nationals.
The Tamworth businessman and award winning farmer was re-elected unopposed at the NSW Nationals Annual General Conference in Broken Hill today.
Mr Burke is now in his fourth year as Chairman and has been instrumental in guiding the party through a number of significant but challenging events, including the 2015 election.
“I would like to personally thank Bede for his efforts and time that he has devoted to the Nationals not only in his time as Chair but his general contribution to members,” Mr Anderson said.
“He is the voice of reason, cool and calm under pressure, a clear thinker and a great supporter of all members of the Nationals both at State and National level.
“I know that Bede would not be able to give the time to the Nationals and still run a very successful farming enterprise without the support of his close-knit family and I thank and acknowledge his wife Narelle and family for their rock solid support.
“The National Party is grateful to have Bede as its Chair and his leadership will ensure that we have a strong future.
“There is plenty of work to be done and I am looking forwarding to continuing to work closely with him as we push hard to deliver the very best, not only for the Tamworth electorate but for regional NSW,” said Mr Anderson.
The NSW Nationals meet this weekend for their Annual Conference where Mr Anderson says the Party will debate issues that will better regional NSW and the Tamworth electorate.
